Biography / CV

Daniel is based in Kendal in the North West of United Kingdom.

Artist Statement

Dannys passion for stone and sculpture in stone is rooted in antiquity. Locked into stone are traces of the origins of the universe and life itself. Tapping into stone, sculptors through the ages have sought to add to the history of that material rendering its "innate truth" and forming from it new truths.

Danny is such a sculptor.

His subject matter is classical and personal in religious subjects that resonate with the Gothic, he joins hands with mason carvers of Canterbury and Chartres.

His intimate sculptures, feel for touch, softness and love, reflecting links to Gill, Epstein and Moore, his progenitors.
